Soprano Brett Umlauf is from Toledo, Ohio. She earned a degree in Classics from Dartmouth College and has studied voice with John Fiorito and Mary Ellen Callahan. Since 2005 she has held the position of soloist at 10th Church of Christ, Scientist, SoHo.

Brett will return to Stockholm this summer to tour Bellman om Bellman, a show about Swedish rococo poet and composer Carl Michael Bellman, which she created together with Swedish bass Staffan Liljas in 2009. She is very happy to be singing with Charites.
