Originally from Toledo, Ohio, soprano Brett Umlauf began studying
voice at Dartmouth College where she earned a degree in Classics.
After a successful stint as Rosebud with the acclaimed Doc Scantlin
and his Imperial Palms Orchestra in Washington D.C., Brett moved to

Stockholm and rural Sweden thanks to the Swedish Institute and the
Swedish Women's Educational Association's support of Brett's work.
Brett serves on the board of directors and is a principal artist
at Morningside Opera in NYC, where she has also held the position
of soloist at 10th Church of Christ, Scientist for over six years.
